Geodesy stopped - Geomatics started

In 2003 it was decided to end the BSc and MSc Geodesy programmes at Delft University of Technology. The 2004-2005 academic year was the last year in which the old Geodesy courses were programmed. The final BSc certificates were issued in December 2007.

In September 2005 the new Master programme Geomatics has started. Participating Faculties are 'Civil Engineering and Geosciences', 'Aerospace Engineering' and 'Technology, Policy and Management'.

The former sections of the Department of Geodesy have moved to the Faculty of Aerospace Engineering (sections PSG, OLRS and MGP) and to the OTB Research Institute (sections GiGb and GISt). For further information, see Research.
